The Arizona Society for Healthcare Risk Management (AzSHRM) is an affiliate of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), the leading national organization serving professionals in the field of healthcare risk management. AzSHRM encourages closer cooperation among healthcare risk managers across Arizona and nationally to promote the development of the professional practice of healthcare risk management.

Welcome to our New Website
We've been working behind the scenes to create this new website that we hope will better meet our organizational needs moving forward.
In-person Meetings Cancelled
In light of the pandemic and safety considerations, we have decided to cancel the 2 remaining meetings we had planned in September and November. Instead, we are scheduling our Annual Business Meeting as a virtual meeting on November 13, 2020. There is no fee and no need to register. Keep an eye out for an email invite with the meeting link. Hope you can join us.
2021 Membership Fees Waived
Considering the challenges we have faced in providing CPHRM-approved contact hours to our members this year, the Board of Directors has decided to waive membership dues for 2021 for those who paid dues for 2020.
Re-Determination of Tax-Exempt Status
As a 502(c)(6) non-profit corporation, AzSHRM is in the process of having our tax-exempt status re-determined and requesting a new Certificate of Tax-Exempt Status from the IRS. Until this process is completed, we will not be providing any education or accepting any dues, fees, or donations. We will keep you informed and notify you when we receive our certificate.

AzSHRM Needs You! Nominations for 2021 Board of Directors
It's not too early to think about volunteering to serve as an Officer or Director on next year's Board. We are looking for someone to fill 3 currently vacant positions as well as open positions for next year. If you are interested in getting involved and would like to fill the Correspondence Secretary, Treasurer, or Director-at-Large positions now or a position for next year, please email us at [email protected].

Ballots will go out by October 1 and results announced at the Annual Business Meeting on November 13. New terms begin on November 14, 2020.
